He’s known as Holland’s most energetic trumpet player. When he picks up his trumpet he dazzles the crowd with spot-on improvisation, full sound and splendid timing. Plays with lots of soul and really knows how to reach the audience.

 

Luuk Hof is an Amsterdam based all-round trumpet player. Inspired by some of the greats, he started playing. Loves his jazz, soul, funk, reggae, ska, rock and hip-hop, but also crosses over to some Deep- and Tech House. In 2015 he graduated at the conservatorium of Amsterdam and was stoked for more gigs.

 

As part of the collective Wicked Jazz Sounds, Luuk always raises the roof.

He played at smaller to bigger venues like Paradiso, Melkweg, Ziggodome, AFAS Live, AHOY. And rocked it at the coolest national festivals like Lowlands, Pinkpop and North Sea Jazz. Got to play alongside De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, Sister Sledge, Blof, DI-RECT and Gallowstreet, and as a member of Chef’Special and upcoming hip-hop act Blackwave, it just got busier. Internationally it took off with a European tour with Chef’Special and he just released an album with Blackwave.

 

Luuk Hof is currently focused on some studio projects for Chef’special, Jarreau Vandal, Feirtag and Blackwave. He really puts in the work and is just getting started.
