He is known as one of Holland’s most versatile DJ’s backed by an extensive track record. Way before eclectic was born, he already dazzled with his refreshing blends of styles. It can be Hip-hop or some smooth R&B. He can drop some old-time classics and mixes it with the latest hits. By reading the crowd, he adapts and tells a unique story. Carefully he selects his next track and smoothly blends basically any genre. His energizing sets stand out and keep the party peeps moving.
Welly Well, better known as Welly Ibrahim, is a passionate and creative music enthusiast based in Amsterdam (NL). As a young boy he developed his love for music. Back in the day, he spent hours recording the hottest tracks from the radio on tape. In 2002 he bought 2 Technics SL1200’s on impulse and his unstopping need for the hottest records kicked in. With records in almost any style, he focused on mastering the art of mixing and beat matching. He sharpened his skills and was ready to rock on stage.
By then bookings for several renowned clubs throughout Holland (Jimmy Woo, Panama, Escape) started coming in. Over the years he played alongside greats like Hardwell, Fedde le Grand, Erick Morillo, Don Diablo, Gregor Salto, Erick E, Real el Canario, Bassjackers and many more. Also abroad he played at some venues in Bali (La Favela, Skygarden, La Plancha), Koh Phi Phi (Stones Bar) and Gili T (Blue Marlin). It quickly took off; he quit his job and currently spins records in and around Amsterdam on a regular. With his 100% vinyl concept ‘Zwarte Liefde” he educates and brings back the art of dj-ing. Currently Welly Well uses his devotion and experience to help other artists develop. Recently he started his own agency for artist development, management and bookings: Amsterdam Audio Collective.
Sharing his love and passion for music will stay at the top of his list. Welly Well is just getting started!
